The General Buddhist Studies Course has been designed for those who wish to be guided through their study of Buddhism, but who do not wish to commit themselves to a programme of continual study and practice. During the Course, Rinpoche teaches important aspects of Buddhist Teachings.

It is open to all those who wish to attend.

• For the inauguration of the Zangdok Palri Institute in June 2004, the General Buddhist Studies Course was based on The Precious Bodhi Tree, a text written by Dzogchen Ranyak Patrul Rinpoche. It will be followed in future years by other teachings which will enrich students' understanding of diverse aspects of Buddhist wisdom and practice.
  
• In 2005, Rinpoche taught "Advice to Kunzang Chögyal" by Dza Patrul Rinpoche.
  
• In 2006, Rinpoche started an in-depth study of the "The Words of My Perfect Teacher". The first chapter about "The precious human life" was studied.
