The Zangdok Palri Institute

Dear all,

It has become obvious that the inauguration of the Zangdok Palri Temple cannot go ahead as planned this year because of the circumstances that you are well aware of. Because of the situation nobody can enter the area.

Probably we will arrange something in Dharma City, Belgium, instead.

ZPI08 Coordination Course.

An extraordinary shedra of the Zangdok Palri Institute, will take place in Dzogchen in August 2008. The Shedra is non-mandatory for students of the six-year course, and is open to everyone wishing to attend.

Dzogchen Monastery is one of the six great Nyingma monasteries.

About one kilometre into the valley is the prestigious Buddhist University of Dzogchen Shri Singha. It is one of the main centres of learning in the Land of Snow and enjoys a reputation for scholarly excellence. The university is famous in the country and world-wide for the standard of education it provides. Over the centuries, even those who have just stepped foot inside its precinct have reported an increase in their knowledge.

The main event of the course will be the inauguration of the Zangdok Palri Temple which will take place on 11 August. There will be teachings and initiations beforehand and an opportunity for everyone to discover many of the extraordinary sights of the region afterwards.
