Altruistic Activity retreat, Dharma City, 1 July to 4 August 2008
About the course
Patrul Rinpoche invites his students who have time in the Summer to join the Altruistic Activity retreat.
The Retreat will take place in Dharma City, Belgium, 1 July to 4 August 2008. It will be followed by the “ Prayers for World Peace” Retreat from 5 to 16 August 2008.
The Altruistic Activity Retreat will combine work and altruistic work and study.
During the retreat, students will have a chance to help Dharma Activity to develop through contributing to the International Centre construction and Wisdom Treasury for approximately half of the day. The other half will be spent in study, meditation, a wide variety of courses such as mudras, physics, Dharma English, cooking, and of course Dharma teachings by Rinpoche and Khenpo.
Rinpoche will be present in Dharma City most of the time.
The financial contribution will be requested to cover the cost of living (meals, running costs). Moreover those who will attend the whole Altruistic Activity retreat will be entitled to stay at the Prayers for World Peace retreat for the same price per day (the books will be offered).

Schedule
The course will take start on Tuesday 1 July and will end on Monday 4 August .
You are welcome as from 30 June afternoon (a dinner will be served).
Provisional daily schedule:
6:30-7:30 self study (optional)
7:30-8:00 jogging or walking meditation
8:00-8:30 sitting meditation
8:30-9:30 breakfast
9:30-9:45 daily meeting
9:45-12:00 altruistic activity
12:00 lunch & break
2:30-5:00: altruistic activity
5:00-6:00 break
6:00 dinner
7:00-8:30 course
9:00-10:00 sitting meditation / own practice (optional)

- Cost of the course:
The price per day is 15 euros to cover meals and running costs. Accommodation is offered (dormitory or camping).
